What can you see in a day in Périgueux?
For a day devoted to discovering the rich heritage of our region, head for Périgueux, just 40 minutes from our campsite with swimming pool in Peyrignac.
As the capital of the Dordogne region, the town is packed with treasures around every corner. Take a stroll through its historic center, littered with listed monuments, admire the stunning Byzantine-style cathedral of Saint-Front, and climb above its rooftops for a breathtaking view of the city. History buffs will particularly appreciate a visit to the Vesunna museum, which traces the city’s history back to Gallo-Roman times.
Explore Brive-la-Gaillarde
Just 30 minutes from your mobile home rental in Peyrignac, in the Corrèze department, Brive-la-Gaillarde will amaze you with its dynamism and rich architecture. This ancient fortified city boasts a lively historic center around the collegiate church of Saint-Martin, a magnificent Romanesque monument.
Don’t miss the famous Georges Brassens market, where you can sample some local specialities in a very convivial atmosphere.
